THE Winning DFS Strategy: An Important Reminder Of How To WIN!

From the very first day we formed Rock Star Fantasy Football, we have consistently preached the same philosophy on how to win while playing Daily Fantasy Sports. Unfortunately, we have witnessed entirely too many friends and customers deviate from the path to success. As a reminder and to lay the foundation of the ultimate meaning of this blog entry, here is the absolute most important rule to follow every single week you play: Play 80% of your weekly allotted funds in single entry cash games and the remaining 20% in tournaments! Please, do not deviate from this well proven strategy!

Let’s first talk about the cash game contests. In order to maximize your success, play SINGLE ENTRY 50/50’s and / or Double-Ups with OVER 35 participants in the contest. Obviously, this means we want you to stay away from multiple entry contests. Why? Because the sharks in the industry load up their entries to the absolute maximum allowed. Why would you want to subject yourself to this situation? Quite simply stated, this lowers your percentage of winning.

This week’s results (Week 2) offers the PERFECT example to illustrate our point. We entered 26 SINGLE ENTRY 50/50 and Double-Up cash game contests on Draft Kings, all with over 35 participants. In fact, 23 of the entries included over 200 players. This week (Week 2) ended up being a very strange event as the normal winning scores were much lower than normal in cash game contests, for a variety of reasons. Some key injuries seriously effected the expected game flow of several of the games. As a result, this brought all of the field’s final fantasy scores (most definitely including ours) down from the realm of normal. We used our top two cash game lineups spread between the 26 entries. Our top score only ended up being in the 150 range. Most weeks that score would be on the border of the cash line. Worse yet, our second score was a crazy low 136.22! We estimate that score loses 16 out of 17 weeks. However, as we previously discussed, this was not a normal week of scoring. In the end, our lineup with the 150 points easily won all contests entered. Better yet, the crazy low score placed in the 57th percentile, resulting in wins for each and every contest. The moral of this story? Instead of LOSING in 26 multiple entry cash games and / or tournaments, we WON all of the entered contests. Would you rather WIN $1,000 or LOSE $1,000? Yes, we know that is a rhetorical question BUT the point MUST NOT be lost!

So, PLEASE, play 80% of your weekly allotted funds in single entry cash games and the remaining 20% in tournaments!

And, PLEASE, play SINGLE ENTRY 50/50’s and / or Double-Ups with OVER 35 participants in the contest.

Follow this simple, time proven strategy and you WILL be exponentially more successful!
